Granite City Announces First Superior Transition in 10 years

Granite City Real Estate, LLC announced Mike Bobick has been named the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2016. Bobick replaces Jim Pflepsen, a founding partner of the firm. Pflepsen was formerly the company president and broker. He will remain with the company as the new Chief Operating Officer.
Kate Hanson has been named broker of the firm and will oversee the largest commercial real estate sales group in central Minnesota. Kate has a bachelor’s degree in real estate from SCSU, recently completed the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute program (CCIM) and has more than 10 years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry. Kate will manage the veteran team of 15 agents and brokers at Granite City.
Founded in 2004, Granite City Real Estate has grown to the 12th largest commercial real estate firm in the state. Granite City also provides professional property management services for multifamily, office, medical, general commercial and homeowner association properties. They also serve the residential, lakeshore and land sales with an experienced group of residential agents.
“Pflepsen has guided the company for over 10 years and has chosen a reduced role that will allow him more time”, said Leon Heinen. A Certified Property Manager for over 30 years, Heinen is also a founding principal and owner of the company along with Bobick, Pflepsen and Steve Feneis. Granite City Real Estate has over 45 employees plus 15 licensed agents and brokers operating throughout the state of Minnesota from their Waite Park office.
